Our Story

A Nepali village heart, in the middle of Kathmandu

“Chautari” — the village resting place, where travellers meet beneath the sacred tree.

Garden Chautari is built around the architecture of the Falcha — the traditional resting pavilion where generations of Nepalis have gathered to share food, music, and stories. Our stage, walls, and gardens carry that heritage forward: village houses, greenery, and hand-painted cultural motifs.

Listen closely and you’ll find the Madal, Sarangi, Bansuri, and Panche Baja woven through our spaces — instruments that turn a dinner into an occasion, and an occasion into a memory. Crowned by our golden Mount Everest artwork, every corner is designed to feel like coming home to the village.
